Mayden Academy Coronavirus (COVID-19) update
In line with recommendations from the government and healthcare experts, Mayden Academy will be switching to remote teaching starting Wednesday 18 March.
The safety of our students, and our responsibility to wider society, are always of the utmost importance, and we are very fortunate that we can continue running the course with minimal disruption while looking out for the wellbeing of others.
We ran a pilot remote session last Friday, and are pleased to say that this was a success for both trainers and students. We have also been reaching some students remotely since last week.
We will now be supporting students to set up their tech at home so that we can continue giving everyone the same high-quality course as always, even if the delivery format is a bit different to what we all expected.
We want to reassure all of our existing students that we will continue making sure you get through our course and come out with exactly the coding skills you signed up for.
This is also obviously an anxious time for many, so if you have any worries, whether practical or with mental health or anything else, please let us know. We are always here to help.
Any social events for the foreseeable future have been put on hold, but we will do our best to share online spaces so that we can all continue being part of the amazing South West tech community.
